1About these terms and who we are

This website, renovate.com.au (Site), is registered to Wimbledon Properties Pty Ltd (ABN 31 001 186 090) (Wimbledon, we, us). By using the Site or submitting a job request, you agree to these terms. The Site is intended for use by people in Australia aged 18 or over.

2What the Site is

The Site is a job lead referral service. You can describe a home improvement or trade job and request quotes. We do not perform trade work, we do not employ or engage tradies, and we do not select, vet, licence-check or recommend any tradie.

When you submit a job request through the Site, your job details are provided to hipages Pty Ltd (hipages), which operates the hipages platform, to facilitate connections between your job and tradies registered with hipages. hipages, or tradies through the hipages platform, will contact you about your job.

3Our fee

Wimbledon receives payment from hipages in connection with this Site. The Site is free for you to use.

4Your job request

When you submit a job request you: (a) confirm the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorised to request quotes for the job and the property; (b) consent to your details being provided to hipages for the purpose described in clause 2, and to being contacted by hipages and by tradies about your job; and (c) acknowledge that your information will be handled as described in our Privacy Policy and, once received by hipages, under hipages' privacy policy.

5Your relationship with tradies

Any service hipages provides to you is governed by hipages' own terms, available at hipages.com.au. Any agreement to perform work is between you and the tradie you engage; Wimbledon is not a party to it.

We do not guarantee that any tradie will contact you or quote, or anything about the price, quality, safety, licensing or timeliness of any work. You should make your own enquiries (including licence checks) before engaging any tradie.

6Acceptable use

You must not submit false, misleading or unlawful job requests, submit another person's details without their authority, or interfere with the operation or security of the Site.

7Intellectual property

The Site and its content are owned by Wimbledon. You may use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

8Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that: (a) our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee in relation to the Site is limited, at our option, to resupplying the referral service; and (b) we are not liable for the acts or omissions of hipages or of any tradie, or for any work performed at your property.

9Changes and availability

We may update these terms from time to time; the version published on the Site when you submit a job request applies to that request. We may suspend or discontinue the Site at any time.

10General

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
