This website, renovate.com.au (Site), is registered to Wimbledon Properties Pty Ltd (ABN 31 001 186 090) (Wimbledon, we, us). We collect the information you submit through it. This policy explains how we handle your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

2What the Site does

The Site allows you to describe a home improvement or trade job and request quotes. We do not perform trade work and we do not connect you with tradies ourselves. When you submit a job request, we provide your details to hipages Pty Ltd (ABN 78 109 996 134) (hipages), which operates the hipages platform, so that hipages can connect your job with tradies. Wimbledon receives payment from hipages in connection with this Site.

3What we collect

When you submit a job request we collect the information you provide, including your name, phone number, email address, the location of the job (suburb, postcode and, if you provide it, street address), a description of the job, and anything else you include in your request.

4How we collect it

We collect personal information directly from you when you complete the job request form or contact us. We may also collect limited technical information (such as device type, browser and pages visited) through cookies and analytics tools to operate and improve the Site.

5Why we collect it and who we give it to

We collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information to: (a) provide your job request to hipages so that hipages can contact you and connect you with tradies able to quote on your job; (b) operate, maintain and improve the Site; (c) respond to your enquiries; and (d) comply with our legal obligations.

Your job request details are disclosed to hipages Pty Ltd for the purpose of connecting your job with tradies. Once hipages receives your information, hipages handles it under its own privacy policy, available at hipages.com.au/privacy, and hipages (or tradies through the hipages platform) will contact you about your job.

We may also disclose personal information to our service providers (such as website hosting providers) on a confidential basis so they can provide services to us, and where required or authorised by law.

6If you don't provide your information

If you do not provide the information requested in the job form, you will not be contacted about quotes.

7Direct marketing

We do not use your personal information for our own direct marketing. hipages' use of your information, including any marketing, is governed by hipages' privacy policy.

8Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure. We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, then take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

9Access, correction and complaints

You may request access to or correction of the personal information we hold about you, or make a privacy complaint. We will respond within a reasonable period. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au, 1300 363 992).

10Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be published on the Site.
